https://www.capitalandconflict.com/geopolitics/election-update-democratic-early-vote-outstrips-gop-by-700000/Election Day will officially be held on Tuesday 3rd November in America.
But actually, every day is Election Day from now until then.
Early voting has already kicked off in several key battleground states contests that will deal a knockout blow for one candidate in the Electoral College math.
Its striking because the early votes coming in are the first concrete signs of whats to come.
These actual results are real in a way polling simply isnt and they offer major clues on whats to come.
Democrats dominating in the early vote so far
I was surprised when I saw a poll result from CNN News showing that 53% of Bidens supporters rated themselves very enthusiastic about voting, compared to 46% of Trumps backers.
After all, conventional wisdom holds that Bidens backers are lining up behind the guy they see as good enough while Trumps voters see him as an almost messianic figure.
But the result has held in other polls, too. Ive seen the best theory for why coming from the vaunted statistician, Nate Silver.
Many of Bidens backers arent as enthusiastic about Biden as Trump voters are about Trump, Silver wrote.
But Bidens voters are extremely enthusiastic about beating Donald Trump. And that could amount to the same thing.
Now, over the last week of early voting in the key battleground state of North Carolina, weve seen a surge in Democratic early voting that seems to validate this idea.
In North Carolina, Democrats have a three-to-one advantage over Republicans in absentee ballot requests so far.

Hearing that shithole's republicans nut cases will be bullying polls where Democrats vote is un-American.
Sending fake Christians to mess with Americans civil right to vote is evil.
Screwing with absentee ballots across the country while republicans rejoice will backfire on them.
republicans hate Democracy.

(415 posts)3. I feel the same way Nate Silver describes
I'm not super enthusiastic about Biden, but I will proudly vote for him because this country seriously cannot weather another 4 years of Trump.
That being said, I don't think he'll be a bad president at all, but he's no Barack Obama. But to have someone who has actual compassion in the White House will be the end of a long national nightmare.
