(50,999 posts)so at least he got something local from PA instead of Bud, Coors, or Miller
I don't like it but there are plenty of folks in PA that still like to drink it. Trump wouldn't know about that.

(68,803 posts)You probably don't get this in DC, but I've seen it at the Aldi and Harris-Teeter in Alexandria.
There used to be a food distributor in Richmond called Richfood. It supplied groceries to smaller chains. The big chains like Safeway and Giant could take care of themselves, but the smaller chains relied on Richfood.
I'm pretty sure that the brew known as Richbrau is distributed by what is left of Richfood.
It's $9.99 per six-pack.

(50,999 posts)I would never look for it in DC. I mostly drink dark craft beers or imports. If you're into that, check out Craft Beer Cellar on H St. NE.

(68,803 posts)walk over there sometimes after work. I haven't seen it since April. Is the CBC the place that's directly across H St. from the Giant? I've been in there.

(68,803 posts)If I'm not mistaken, Red Stripe, of all things, is brewed in Latrobe.
No, it is not from Jamaica. It is a "Jamaican-style" beer.
That's a mighty big loophole. I mean, if it's wet and is packaged in a bottle, you can claim that it is "Jamaican-style."
You don't even get a full 12 ounces in a bottle.
IronLionZion
(50,999 posts)yes, the Latrobe brewery makes Red Stripe for the US, and Guinness Blonde among a few others.
I like Red Stripe beer but the short wide bottles are impractical. Coors banquet is another one that uses that short bottle design.

So nice to see him with regular folks---instead of the orange blob at rallies full of circus clowns and paid whackos.
