Seriously?
Another Dem bashing hit piece?

Dems aren't talking about it?
Perhaps the researching of these Guardian hit pieces, intent on blaming & naming targeted Democrats should do their job in fair & truthful reporting.

Here's the other posting naming Democrats & specifically the usual targets, Pelosi, Biden & Feinstein as "staying silent, doing nothing", with a few snippets of statements to shore up the writer's biased "proof".

I call bullshit on The Guardian's selective targeting of our Democratic Party & our leaders.

They seem to have omitted a whole bunch of the real culprits, and failed completely on giving credit to the accomplishments & work our Dem leaders have done on behalf of Climate issues over the years.

👎

3. Please, show us the media coverage of politicians, other than Gavins, talking about climate change.

5. Really? Because The Guardian says they haven't then it must be true.

I have personally listened to the news conversations as to the state of our current weather disasters & how it relates to global warming etc & what needs to be done.

Btw, Democratic leaders have been sounding the alarm on climate concerns for many years. Ya know, long before it was trendy.
In fact Joe Biden himself gave that warning way back in the Obama yrs.

Btw, WE ALL OWN THE CLIMATE CRISIS. WE ALL HAVE CONTRIBUTED.
Even The Guardian, Emily Holden in Washington and agencies and even The GNDers.

Yes. I really fking resent this hit piece specifically targeting our D Party & our Dem Leaders.

This Guardian piece sounds like the Sunrise Movement is afraid the Pelosi/Biden Democrats might get credit for taking on & succeeding on the climate crises.

Yup. Sunrise.....🙄

2. Gavin Newsom most certainly tied the wildfires to climate change.

This is a climate damn emergency,’ California’s Gavin Newsom says

A visibly angry Gov. Gavin Newsom warned the rest of the country Friday that California’s record wildfire season is a glimpse into its future if political leaders do not start taking the climate crisis more seriously.

“I’m a little bit exhausted that we have to continue to debate this issue. This a climate damn emergency. This is real and it’s happening. This is the perfect storm,” Newsom said during a visit to the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area in Butte County, where he surveyed damage from the North Complex Fire.

Newsom decried the “ideological BS” that he said is preventing swift action to combat climate change, which scientists generally agree has intensified the severity of natural disasters. California is the midst of the worst wildfire season in its modern history, with more than 3 million acres already burned this year, and the August Complex Fire in Northern California this week became the largest the state has ever recorded.

“California, folks, is America fast forward,” Newsom said. “What we are experiencing right here is coming to (communities) all across the United States of America unless we get our act together on climate change — unless we disabuse ourselves of all the BS that’s being spewed by a very small group of people that have an ideological reason to advance the cause of a 19th century framework and solution. We’re not going back to the 19th century.”

As well as many others. On TV too even!

So that part's not true.
Nor is it fact regarding the specific Democrats named in the poorly reaserched article.

Gee, it leaves one kinda curious as to what the point of the article actually was written for.
They could have done a fine piece on Climate sans the specific Dem targets, which was so selectivly edited for damning impact, while totally omitting their years of work & sounding the alarm on this critical climate issue.

Rather shitty of The Guardian, don't ya think?

I see they omitted quite a larger list of 'specific names'...

Just sayin'

WTF are you talking about? both-sides-both-sides bullshit. Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House, Al Gore, etc. Democrats are the environmentalist party.

Here is Joe Biden.

STATEMENT BY VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN ON THE ONGOING WILDFIRES
Source: joebiden.com

As devastating wildfires continue to rage across California, Oregon, Washington, and throughout the West, Jill and I are keeping everyone affected by this disaster in our prayers. To the families who have lost everything; to the people forced to evacuate their homes; to the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect their neighbors — please know that we stand with you now, and that we will continue to stand with you for as long as it takes to recover and rebuild from this tragedy. Our thoughts are also with the millions of Americans living just outside the path of these fires, forced into an awful choice between relocating in the midst of an ongoing pandemic or staying put in a place where every breath they draw forces them to inhale smoke.

The science is clear, and deadly signs like these are unmistakable — climate change poses an imminent, existential threat to our way of life. President Trump can try to deny that reality, but the facts are undeniable. We absolutely must act now to avoid a future defined by an unending barrage of tragedies like the one American families are enduring across the West today.

Left unchecked, wildfires and other extreme weather disasters will only continue to grow in frequency and intensity, endangering the lives of tens of millions of Americans, ravaging our lands and waterways, rendering the air unbreathable, and laying waste to our economic security. In the years ahead, there will be no challenge more consequential to our future than meeting and defeating the onrushing climate crisis.

The American people have never shrunk from a challenge, and I have complete faith that we will rise to overcome the threat of climate change. We can, and we must, come together to build a better future — so that all American children can breathe clean air and drink clean water, so that we can create good jobs and revive our middle class, and so that families can once again live their lives free from the mounting disasters brought on by climate change. In the meantime, Jill and I urge everyone in the path of the wildfires to stay safe and heed the warnings of local officials as our courageous firefighters and first responders work to put an end to the destruction.

You're welcome!

I think it would be wise to edit or delete the comment on your post from that article bashing Democrats in light of it being wrong.
