Accidentally on purpose?

Postal Service Sends ‘Misinformation’ to Voters
September 12, 2020 at 7:26 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Colorado’s secretary of state took to Twitter to sound the alarm after the United States Postal Service sent out a postcard to voters nationwide containing inaccurate information that could undermine the election and “suppress votes,” the Daily Beast reports.

The postcard, sent to all American households, is “confusing” voters in several states by telling them they must request a ballot, even though many states automatically send a ballot to every registered voter.

The postcard also includes a recommendation to voters to “mail your ballot at least 7 days before Election Day,” while some states, like Colorado, tell voters to send them earlier.

I guess I didn’t read it with enuf critical thinking for the details.
Then again, I have already decided how I am going to vote (first day of early in person) and know the guidelines for my state (NY).

I am hoping that the Democratic Party in each state is doing a good job of educating the voters. I have also, on the same day, gotten a postcard from my county board of elections telling when, where and how to vote. We in NY have many choices this time round.

I can’t wait to place my vote, early and safely in a state taking lots of precautions.

I do feel for states where they are still insisting on making things costly, difficult, confusing and downright suppressive. Although NYS doesn’t have the extra funds to send postage pre-paid ballots, I am hoping we have enuf good hearted friends and family that can front the stamp for those who are short on funds.

Vote early and often!

Most voters in USA can benefit from its information. I think that in states where this isn't necessary, the majority already know. This is much ado about nothing. I'drather direct my anger and concerns in another direction.

for example it should have clarified that in SOME states you need to request a ballot. It also says to request the ballot 30 days before the election but something like 30 or MORE days before the election would have been better. Saying mail your ballot at least 7 days isn't conservative enough. Mailing early is never going to be a problem so saying try to mail your ballot 10-14 days prior to election day would have been better.
