I have reassessed the Trump Presidency's place in History

For much of his Presidency I thought that while Trump was the worse person to ever be President in our history he was not the worse President. Bottom 5 to be sure along with Buchanan, Nixon, Bush and Hoover. (or others of your choice).
But that was before 2020. At this point he is without doubt the worst President in our history.
He is a traitorous, corrupt criminal whose abject failure has lead to 200,000 dead Americans and an economy in shambles. With no clue or effort to do anything about it. He is in thrall to foreign powers and has subverted every institution of government he has touched.

"Your favorite President, me!" I've been known to reply

"'Favorite?' Motherfucker, you're not even in the top 50!"

Because he hadn't been faced with a crisis. At least one that was't of his own making.

As soon as he faced one, his weaknesses were magnified 100x. We always knew this would be the case so it didn't surprise us. But sometimes it takes a stack of bodies to really show how much leadership matters.

we could have avoided something like this for the 4 years. Knowing if we didn't the results would be catastrophic.

I am almost 60 and i remember Nixon being elected president..... As a democrat in a union democrat family. My lifetime observation is that the republicans ruin the economy and then we inherit the mess, then fix it. All the while republicans are screaming "we don't have any money!" tired of it really. A two party system where you have one side evil and the other side never able to do it right. God help us if we finally get the House, Senate and Presidency... Can we possibly fix this mess we are in now? It doesn't matter how bad prior presidents were. Its the fact that we have had to endure the last 4 years. I don't know about you but we need a break from this slow motion nightmare!

he had done a lot to hollow out institutions and roll back any kind of protections for the environment. From day one the people he appointed to head up agencies were dedicated to destroying those agencies. We saw him suck up to dictators around the world. Said "Good people on both sides". Not to mention pretty much anything and everything he says is a lie.

In my opinion, he was the Worst President Ever six months into his term.

Knowing *very little to absolutely nothing* about the other presidents you mention with regard to the congress. Nixon for sure had a GOP that had a little sense of civility, true patriotism and imposed implicit if not explicit constraints on Nixon's antics.

Where would we be with Trump if he had an equivalent of Nixon's congress, especially the senate?
