fill out as many ballots as you can find as long as you only cast one of them. And your absentee ballot isn't cast until the ballot counters cast it.

Your local BoE should be able to crosscheck records to see if you've already voted.

They don't need to show up on election day. They can track the ballot on-line, as AG pointed out. If they show up on a busy election day, they are just creating havoc for no reason.

States with early voting will not have havoc caused-- the lines are really short when stretched out over a week or two. Sometimes no lines at all. I voted early for the last primary and was applauded as the first person in over an hour.

And all absentee ballots are checked as a matter of course before counting them, so there's no real additional work. The same computer system logs you in as absentee or in person, so you can't do both.

The POs mail tracking system sucks. I've ordered things online that I could not track through the PO, but the vendor could. VA meds can't be properly tracked by either the VA or the PO.
