ETA: There is debate about this, however. See Article I, section 3, clause 7 and the 1993 SCOTUS decision in U.S. v. Nixon. It basically says that the Constitution treats cases of criminality and impeachment separately.

I find some psychological relief in hearing this. It's why Speaker Pelosi was insistent that it go forth and why she was excited at the legal implications that will eventually be addressed. She is a long game planner and she knew what they would do and so managed to damage the standing of this asshole in such a way as to put him in prison. She did say that she wants to see him in prison after all.
