Another issue is that it has to be kept frozen at extremely low temperatures, so figuring out how to distribute it (assuming it works) is going to be very difficult. Your local pharmacy doesn't have those types of freezers. Also, if two doses are required, people will have to come back to get the second dose. So none of this is going to happen any time soon.

And I don’t think it will sway voters. Trumpers will like it but won’t really get new recruits, and those who hate trump aren’t going to suddenly change their minds. I hope they do get a vaccine and I’ll take it after a couple months if it turns out to be safe and effective.

Like I posted already, distribution is going to be tricky, because it requires the vaccine be kept frozen at extremely low temperatures.
Those freezers aren't normally available in either pharmacies or local family physicians.

Two required per person.

By the end of 2021, that would be 650 million people of out 7.6+ billion on the planet.

It is a novel approach that should get more medical scrutiny than what U of Oxford is trying - though all should get intense scrutiny.

The first one they deemed unrelated to the vaccine, since the person apparently had MS. But what about the second one?

Jenner Institute has a good reputation
Unlike Moderna, the basis of their medical effort has been successful in humans before.
Beyond that, I don't have a clue.

The fact that they would suspend until they get to the bottom of it medically is a good sign. Maybe they found something that explains the second person. Who knows?

I'm glad they're all trying while realizing there is a fair chance that they may never find a vaccine.

But I still suspect we're going to get to a safer place sooner with therapeutics - that doesn't solve it entirely but takes a serious edge off the damage and mortality.

it causes you liver to explode out your ass is two different things. You could place your body in an incinerator and it would work to get rid of the virus, but the side effects are hell.

If they were ready to start giving a vaccine in less than 3 weeks they would have had to be in production mode for at the very for least 6-8 months.

Then there’s the whole issue of the idiot king decimating the FDA, NIH and CDC the very agencies that would be responsible for distribution, storage, care and giving of the vaccine

"Operation Warpspeed", shitty Trump lies and now some corporate fluffing.

The last major vaccine developed was for mumps and it took four years.
