.... next to the person who first uttered the phrase "Defund the Police", I would have stuck a sock in their mouth and told them to come back with better phrasing. As true and logical as this cartoon is, the damage this terminology has caused can't be corrected in time to do any good. The repubs have latched onto it like a pitbull on a tire, and they're not letting go of it anytime soon. "Defund the Police" played right into their hands. The first picture in the cartoon is all they see.
