After the kids leave the teachers still do tons more work and take even more home. We first take a much deserved nap then they get started on lesson plans and grading (10 + hour days, crappy pay, no respect, etc). If you paid teachers per student the same wages as child care the teachers would earn twice their salary. In Eurpoean countries they only work 40 hours a week and are more appreciated and respected.

As a non-teacher, but someone whose sessions are happening remotely, I know this is a real problem for those of us who work this way with kids now.

Wonder how most people would feel if videos of them doing their daily work were passed around the internet.

She also has the paddle signs for different signals to students.

With younger kids, she not only has to teach both grade levels, she has to teach the parents or adults in the room.

Quite the challenge.

$1,000,000 would be just about right.

Tax wealth and we can do it.

That's an amazing energy level. I could use somebody like that following me around for a couple of hours every day, throwing up a paddle with a picture of the vacuum on it, the dishwasher, etc. and getting me all fired up to deal with the mundane tasks I just can't seem to focus on any more.

Big props for all the teachers out there working hard to get their students through this. 💖
