In Trump campaign ads that ran last week, there are images of troops with jets flying over them. The problem is that the jets were Russian Migs.
This isn't the first time his ad people have screwed up. In 2015, he ran ads which showed his face over an American flag with various images on the flag. One image was that of troops. The problem that time, however is that they were Nazi troops.
You've gotta' wonder if these were mistakes or intentional. (See link.)

Need a cool photo of troops, or a ship, or planes? Run a search on ShutterStock and use the first thing that comes up that works for what you're doing. Pay any attention to what the photo actually shows? Nope.
Not that winks to the dictator Cool Kids he wants to be part of would be off-brand for Trump, but what's even more on-brand is flashy image through low-quality execution. So, it's a toss-up, leaning "incompetent."
But I must say, after years and years of conservatives berating Democrats and liberals for lack of familiarity with military equipment, terminology, and customs, it's kinda satisfying to turn that back in their faces.
