I "get" swing states, I "get" the Electoral College, but...that effin' Town Hall.

The lesson learned from 2016 is to not go too deep into the "This idiot can't possibly win" zone.

I understand Putin and Russian bot farms, I understand the role swing states and the Electoral college play, BUT...

...last night's "herd mentallity" clusterfuck still makes me wonder, outside of the unshakable base, how ANYONE could seriously consider voting for this incompetent moron.

We're climbing up on 200,000 dead and he's still taking a victory lap for his "great" handling of the pandemic. And even though he's too stupid to express it with the right terminology, he's OK with MILLIONS more dying in the name of "herd immunity."

IF the debates go on as scheduled, what the hell will THEY look like?

I can't pretend to understand it, and I'm hoping that after January 20th, I'll no longer need to.

Easily the single most important election of our lifetime.

It's done remotely with them on camera and Joe safely away from Trump and Covid 19. Definitely not with both in the same room, as Trump will interrupt, stalk Joe and in general make a mockery of this important function just as he did last years with Hills.

That way Trump can do none of his distracting tactics and they can just turn off Trump's mike when it's Joe's turn to speak. Perfect solution.

If Trump doesn't like it, too bad. It's Joe's election to lose now and a debate using the current format can only benefit Trump. If it's not done remotely, Joe should refuse to participate, period.

because that really is true - all this shit they spew came out of limbaugh's ass either first (after he got it from putin's operation) or got repeated by him to supply every blowhard in the country

if he did that he would throw trump off kilter and speak directly to the republicans who know its true and are now having second thoughts. it would be like he was walking around behind trump

it would also get media's attention to what the basis of the collusion was, and the real problem democracy has been facing for 30 years

Trump kills more people every day than Manson did in his whole career. There are other similarities, I'm sure, but I'm waiting for the trial to enumerate them.

Those sucked into that world are constantly bombarded with the bizarre worldview where democrats are evil and helping Americans is socialism and refusing to pay for anything is freedom and so on and of course anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar or unamerican.

It's a sick trap and even if they think donnie may be flawed, they can't see voting for the devil party.

It's really hard to break through to these people. It's like trying to convince a wrestling fan that it's all scripted.

Wed Sep 16, 2020, 09:51 AM

yaesu Tienes razon (you are right).

When enough lemmings follow their herd-mentality over the cliff, herd-immunity is developed by the dead piled up as a soft cushion upon which the others land.

Those animals not taken by crocodiles today, have no crocodiles immunity at the next river crossing.
Enough crocodiles equals no herd.

"So, mr/ms/mrs Covidiot," I ask, "how many dead grand-parents equal herd-immunity? Do you send your old, your sick or your kids into battle first?"

Experts say 5 to 6 times the current deaths are predicted if herd-mentality continues.
That is a big pile; genocidal size.

And, yes, I know lemmings are smarter than some humans and they do not jump to death.

I also know I am changing nothing in this mad world except myself.

gov't officials and workers implementing his policies with glee. Many of which are literally destroying our democracy and form of government.

Hitler never personally set a brick in a gas chamber. He never personally sorted out millions of people and herded them together to be tortured, abused, and killed.

Other people enabled and carried out his insane ideas.

That is what is so appalling. The senate is sitting back with that moscow mitch chesire cat smile. Refusing to act. Refusing to stop their own slide into irrelevance. Hitler never lost the support of his clan. He took his country over the falls and destroyed everything. Peotake control.ple were mad, and sad, but they didn't hate him.

Hitler could have managed a soft landing. He could have made a deal with churchill and the us and sent the bulk of his troops to the east stopping the russians while letting the west roll in and take control. His country would have survived, even if he didn't. He chose a more insane path. And his country followed.

Every gov't agency has become an arm of trumps re-election campaign. the doj has becomes trumps personal law firm, battering ram, and billy club.

Who would have thought that so many would be so complicit, and so many more so supportive......

doing what's right for the American people. They have such an evil agenda that it's hard to comprehend the justification. They care nothing about science or the environment. Way too many lives have been effected with deaths, suffering, financial & job losses, homelessness, long haulers disabled from C-19, etc! It's such a dangerous path of destruction! For Trump to continue on could mean the end of civilization. He has a fondness for nuclear weapons & has asked several times why we don't use them!!! His mental state is deteriorating before our eyes. Hope & pray that justice will be served to this criminal mob gang!...

(it was on facebook so sorry i dont have the link)

The question was posed, "Why do people continue supporting Trump no matter what he does?" A lady named Bev answered it this way:

“You all don't get it. I live in Trump country, in the Ozarks in southern Missouri, one of the last places where the KKK still has a relatively strong established presence. They don't give a shit what he does. He's just something to rally around and hate liberals, that's it, period. He absolutely realizes that and plays it up. They love it. He knows they love it.
The fact that people act like it's anything other than that proves to them that liberals are idiots, all the more reason for high fives all around.

If you keep getting caught up in "why do they not realize this problem" and "how can they still back Trump after this scandal," then you do not understand what the underlying motivating factor of his support is. It's fuck liberals, that's pretty much it.
Have you noticed he can do pretty much anything imaginable, and they'll explain some way that rationalizes it that makes zero logical sense?

Because they're not even keeping track of any coherent narrative, it's irrelevant. Fuck liberals is the only relevant thing.
Trust me; I know firsthand what I'm talking about. That's why they just laugh at it all because you all don't even realize they truly don't give a fuck about whatever the conversation is about.

It's just a side mission story that doesn't matter anyway. That's all just trivial details - the economy, health care, whatever. Fuck liberals.

Look at the issue with not wearing the masks.
I can tell you what that's about. It's about exposing fear. They're playing chicken with nature, and whoever flinches just moved down their internal pecking order, one step closer to being a liberal.

You've got to understand the one core value that they hold above all others is hatred for what they consider weakness because that's what they believe strength is, hatred of weakness. And I mean passionate, sadistic hatred. And I'm not exaggerating. Believe me. Sadistic, passionate hatred, and that's what proves they're strong, their passionate hatred for weakness.

Sometimes they will lump vulnerability in with weakness.
They do that because people tend to start humbling themselves when they're in some compromising or overwhelming circumstance, and to them, that's an obvious sign of weakness. Kindness = weakness. Honesty = weakness. Compromise = weakness.

They consider their very existence to be superior in every way to anyone who doesn't hate weakness as much as they do.

They consider liberals to be weak people that are inferior, almost a different species, and the fact that liberals are so weak is why they have to unite in large numbers, which they find disgusting, but it's that disgust that is a true expression of their natural superiority.

Go ahead and try to have a logical, rational conversation with them. Just keep in mind what I said here and be forewarned.”

This is why Trump's demonizing of liberals keeps his base enthralled.

The most amusing part of this is the contempt Trump feels for every last person IN his base, which they perceive as "respect," and there isn't a liberal on the planet who has more contempt for them than Trump himself.

I'm just hoping that his recent antics resonate OUTSIDE of the base.

after four years that so many still cannot see or hear what is obviously right in front of them. It is not about preference, opinion, or even politics. It is about a stark apparent reality. Trump is not some cruel, destructive monster disguised as a reasonable human being, he IS a monster who often admits it with pride. There is nothing subtle about the man.

Whenever I hear pundits talk about the "undecided voters", I wonder who the hell are they and what rock have they been living under for four years?
