Holy shit. I did not see Redfield testimony today. Just read this:
CDC Director Robert Redfield told Congress that HHS and the White House budget office directed the transfer of $300 million from CDC to a public relations campaign "to defeat despair" over the pandemic.

The actual substance/work needed to do be damned. Money and resource is directed to PR campaigns.

It seems like if there was a 300 million dollar ad campaign, some of us would have seen it.

According to the Lincoln Project, Trump's campaign is on the financial skids having burned through the monetary advantage they had over Biden. They're still getting donations but spending nearly 50% for the fund-raising ads. Consequently, they've had to pull down TV ads in the swing states. This is the biggest electoral grift in history, and now we find out they've been draining the CDC, too.
What other agencies have had their pockets picked???
Incredible.
