I think you owe happybird an apology. This is a message board and all of us are free to respond to any and every poster. You may not have directed your comment to happybird of myself for that matter, yet both of us politely responded to your question to clear up any questions you might have .

Trump is a murderer by proxy. Barr now openly takes his place in that circle.
I have had a very hard time coming to terms with the reality that an entire political party in this country has no use for either a republic or a democracy.

(12,810 posts). . . they will manage to prevent enough votes from being cast, and disqualify enough legitimate votes, to steal yet another election.
If we can overcome the election fraud (not voter fraud) we know we are up against and pull off a Biden victory, I'll revel in the "shut down" of Trump."
He'll undoubtedly continue to believe himself to be the center of the universe, worthy of same endless coverage he gets now. I relish the notion of witnessing his cries of "Me! Me! Me!" fall on deaf ears as the nation moves to put this nightmare behind us.
We need to vote like never before.
A massive blue wave to SHUT THEM ALL DOWN!
pat_k
(12,810 posts)Democratic overconfidence.
The polls DO NOT account for the votes that are GUARANTEED to be lost to effective voter suppression tactics, voter role purges, and unlawful disqualification of legitimate votes.
Tragically, things are bad.
Everything is unprecedented. Examine history is of limited use, Think Biden's lead in a state must be more than 8 8 points for Biden to have a shot at overcoming fraudulent practices. (i.e., that which would be measured in a free and fair election) advantage needed is more than 8%.

infection is anything new to humanity.
In England, they closed the theaters during bouts of Plague. They shut down public operations during a still unnamed epidemic in Britain and on the continent called "the sweat."
When I was a child, my sister had scarlet fever. Our doctor reported it to public health and we were all quarantined for 2 weeks.
During outbreaks of smallpox in colonial times and into early American history, whole towns closed themselves off from outsiders.
Usually those people had sense (and fear) enough to take measures not to infect others or get infected.
During the 1918 flu pandemic, people wore masks and avoided public gatherings. Cities that didn't follow those precautions had huge numbers of infections and deaths compared to ones that followed safe protocols.
I heard an interview of a woman whose parents were both Holocaust survivors. She said that people were sensible and strong enough to stay confined in safe hiding places that were sometimes only one room for a dozen people, for 2 or 3 years until the war ended. By comparison, she said, people who can't tolerate a few weeks or months of limited mobility while they can still walk around and communicate with others are wimps.

(9,124 posts)its a fraud, it should be ignored, cnn should know better, reason I don't watch them.
You play the good with the bad. Would you prefer it all covered up?
I like the anchors on CNN especially Brianna Keilar who has been nailing all their asses to the wall. I also depend on Dr Sanjay Gupta for the truth on COVID.
CNN, on the weekends does a segment with Sesame Street characters. Kids get to ask The Muppets questions that concern them about staying at home, masks and the virus. It helps children cope in a time that scares and confuses them. Hell it scares and confuses me as well.

(12,441 posts)How they can turn a deadly virus into a political weapon is beyond bizarre. Barr also wants those he determines as 'violent protestors' prosecuted for sedition. Caputo called out the CDC for resistance to Our Great Leader's craziness. Roger Stone is advocating armed rebellion and suggesting Federal Marshalls seize November 3rd's ballots. Kushner is claiming peace in the Middle East reminding everyone that his dear father-in-law has been nominated for two Nobel peace prizes. There's also a rumor that Kushner is editing internal polls before Trump sees them. Keep the crazy guy happy!
And Trump. He has walked so far down the Cuckoo path there's no turning back.
It's been a week of sheer madness and--though it's hard to imagine--I'm guessing it's going to get worse.
Barr is corrupt and compromised basically bowing down to Crazypants while shredding his oath to the rule of law.
The whole kit and kabootle belong in prison!
