(532 posts)My wife and I have sent hundreds of dollars to house and senate dems who have a chance to win but...over the last few weeks I have received and daily receive what I consider very nasty mailings from telling us how apparently we are no longer interested because we have not sent Biden $ after they have requested it three times. I no longer even read them, just hit delete. Really pisses me off.. I even answered some of them but they just send more.

(90,645 posts)It usually has info like headquarters street address, but also should have a link that says Unsubscribe. That usually takes you to a web page for confirmation. Done.
Its easy and I have done it probably 100 times. Sometimes the message doesnt register right away, but if you keep this up your in-box should be much more pleasant within a week.

(19,193 posts)How they ever got my name, I don't know. Whatever made them think I was a republican is ever more strange. I've never voted for a republican in my life. Of course the "surveys" always end in a demand (more or less) for money. The latest one (today) said it was sent to "20 million of the president's most ardent supporters". At the end there was the usual demand for money, but this time they demanded $15 for "processing the survey". That would mean they'd collect $300 million just to "process the survey". The Rump campaign really sucks at processing surveys I guess.
What a bunch of dishonest dweebs. They aren't even trying to make it sound legit anymore.

Voting Registrar
Drivers License
Cole Information [lots of demographics, address, income, race, etc, may not have text/email and VERY expensive]
Black market email list [unverified cheap, verified have a higher price]
...many more
takes little time to filter out no email and/or phone numbers that are not land line only [readily available as area code - prefix - ####]
I enjoyed my job doing addressing, like playing Sherlock Holmes, for 20 years before retiring in 2015 where doing the above and mapping the results took a lot of my time.
For those that don't know mapping is great.
Take law enforcement records for say "domestic violence", more in economically depressed areas, less in affluent areas.
You have some type of area to work with say political areas, city council / county government / etc.
Now shade them white to the maximum count in "red".
That is what law enforcement needs to target, which means more money for man power.
If you take that to the "council" it goes in a trash can because red is a "deficit" so no more for you.
So just change the color to "green".
Who ever owns the bright green area will be on the hot seat, crap if I don't get this fixed I won't get reelected. Here's some money.
This is not lying it is just knowing and targeting your audience.
Those colors are burned in their brain, but spreadsheets and other "data" print outs goes in the closest trash can.
Data Analyst is a great paying job. Can even be done remotely in the CV-19 era.

(19,193 posts)My surname is dominated by republicans, some being elected republicans on this side of the state. Other socioeconomic flags probably pop up as well. I always was a little contrary to ordinary, and I'm definitely the exception to the republican rule.
