South Faces Widespread Flooding, Power Outages In Hurricane Sallys Wake
PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) Rivers swollen by Hurricane Sallys rains threatened more misery for parts of the Florida Panhandle and south Alabama on Thursday, as the storms remnants continued to dump heavy rains inland that spread the threat of flooding to Georgia and the Carolinas.
Coastal residents, meanwhile, looked to begin the recovery from a storm that turned streets into rivers, ripped roofs off buildings, knocked out power to hundreds of thousands and killed at least one person.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis warned residents and visitors in flooded areas that they would need to remain vigilant as water from the hurricane subsides, because heavy rains to the north were expected to cause flooding in Panhandle rivers in coming days.
So this is kind of the initial salvo, but there is going to be more that youre going to have to contend with, DeSantis said.

The typical migratory path of totaled and flood-damaged cars normally pass through Texas and then Colorado.
After their titles are washed and the salvage title removed, they are found online and sent around the country.
Vehicles will be dried out and may look & run fine, but electrical components will begin to start failing in a year or two.
Remember, if this happens to you, never crank your engine without removing the spark plugs first. If you do so, the water will not compress and you will damage your piston rods and possibly your crank or bearings.

Of course that applies not just for floods, but multiple accidents. Carfax and other services which are supposed to reveal major repairs often don't work b/c the reporting by repair places is voluntary. So a car could literally have 3 accidents and still not have anything show on the report.
