There is no such thing as an unsolicited ballot (in Ohio @ least)

There is no such thing as unsolicited ballots because to get a ballot you have to
be a registered voter and request a ballot be sent to you.

Trump Attacks FBI Director Christopher Wray for Warning on Russian Election Meddling

"President Donald Trump attacked his own FBI director Thursday in a series of vitriolic tweets. Christopher Wray had testified Thursday morning before the House Committee on Homeland Security about “very active efforts” by Russia to influence the 2020 U.S. election and “to both sow divisiveness and discord and...to denigrate Vice President Biden.” Trump, who has long contested his own intelligence agencies’ conclusions about Russian election meddling, wrote in response, “But Chris, you don’t see any activity from China, even though it is a FAR greater threat than Russia, Russia, Russia. They will both, plus others, be able to interfere in our 2020 Election with our totally vulnerable Unsolicited (Counterfeit?) Ballot Scam.” He cited no evidence for his claims about China or voting by mail. In another tweet, he wrote of the FBI’s investigation of domestic terrorism, “The Comey/Mueller inspired FBI is simply unable, or unwilling, to find their funding source, and allows them to get away with ‘murder.’”

When out intel and national security people found out and alerted the proper
people in Congress that Russia was working to make Bernie the nominee in
the late winter/early spring of 2020 Trump fired the intel people and did nothing
to Russia.

Hell that mother fucker let one of his no good sons (I forget which one) park money
he stole from a phony children's cancer charity in his "Trump Foundation."

That he gets away with so much because the Republicans all have their heads in the sand or else they work hard to cover it all up. What is it about him that makes them so subservient? I can’t think of one redeeming quality he has.

Hopefully.... We the People will have our say this November.

Good God in Butter it just came out and said that the C-19 virus is good because he
no longer has to shake hands with his disgusting supporters.

He has given them the right to use the n****r word again.

What part of the state are you in? I have been working in a very upscale republican
heavy Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington and it is overwhelmed in Biden signs except
for many republican houses that have a simple black background with orange/yellow
letters that just say "enough."

BTW according to one of my late father's friends Trump has a 25% base (dumb ass
uneducated whites) that will not leave him.

All the Rubes and White privilege have taken over here. I am scared to death we’re going to lose Tim Ryan, too.

I see maybe 4-to-1 trump over Biden yard signs here. I won’t put a sign in my yard, a Deplorable will just steal it.

I wonder if this will be the year that Ohio does not follow suit for the Presidential election. I just don’t see Ohio going for Biden. I hope I’m wrong....

Wish everyone here was as enlightened as in your area! And I think your father’s friend is spot on.

.... rid of the fairness doctrine. Columbus which has more than its share of "rubes" too.
You would be surprised @ the neck vein bulging anger that happens when this Trump base
of uneducated white men just hear the name Hillary Clinton.

Over the past 20 years much of Ohio has become Alabama north and much like West Virginia,
Kentucky, and Rural Pennsylvania poor and middle class white people will now vote against their
own best interests. Look @ many of the workers @ Lordstown who voted for Trump even after
Obama saved their plant and Hillary got them good trade deals.

I worked for Kerry in 2004 and Trumbull County had more absentee votes than people who
requested absentee ballots.

BTW Ohio might very well go blue this year. I think Trump is much worse off then the media
and his campaign are letting us know. They just pulled all their tv ads from the state.

at the neck vein bulging anger at the mere mention of Hillary Clinton’s name. I see those types everywhere. You are right that it was spoon fed to them by Fox and Rush. My own sister and late brother in law, two college educated professionals, fall into this category ( they live in the Cleveland area) But it blows my mind how they’ll support a guy who calls our war heroes losers and suckers and who ignored a pandemic that has killed 200,000 Americans.

I sure hope you are right about a blue Ohio .... if I didn’t have 3 adult kids living here I’d really think about moving.

effective too. Did you know that Hillary had somebody killed in order to hide Bill's cocaine ring?

Because for that vote to be right 250,000 people had to vote for a liberal
democrat in Sherrod Brown but then turn around and vote for conservative
republicans to be governor, A.G. & Sec. of State.

I wonder if Hillary has a file on Barack Obama's plan to use the UN to bring
in Hamas fighters so he could get a third term and take everybody's guns.

I had to work around somebody who believed and talked that crap and I
couldn't say shit back to him outside of I didn't know that.

I often think many voters who aren’t too bright vote solely on name recognition...”Oh, I’ve heard of him/her”. Or “I saw that name on a sign down the street”.

Did you hear that mention of DeWine got booed at a Traitor rally led by Dense Pense recently... apparently De Wine is too liberal for that crowd ...

In fact as a registered voter, you have to provide information from your state-issued drivers license or official state-issued ID in order to request a mail-in ballot. No ID is required to vote in person.

The ballots sent out by the counties to people choosing to vote absentee or by mail have a bar code which is used to ensure that completed ballots are authentic. The voter receives an email from the county election office to inform them when their completed ballot has been received. You can also check the status of your ballot online.

... and you are automatically "flagged" in the poll log book and so if you want to vote
because you didn't use the absentee ballot you have to vote a provisional ballot and that
vote will not be counted if you used your absentee ballot. And good chance you will be
criminally prosecuted too.

Voter fraud is almost nonexistence but election fraud is very much real. And you can see
that it Trump/Barr's panic about mail in voting because that bypasses the electronic voting
machines and central tabulators.

There is actually a list of absentee ballot voters displayed before you enter the poll. I usually checked to make sure my mom's name was on it.

The election board gets its own copy of absentee ballot voters and if one shows up at the poll, they have to use a provisional ballot. Voting in person takes precendence over an absentee ballot, but the provisional ballot ensures the absentee ballot is not counted.

A Trumpie cousin of mine posted on FB blasting an ad suggesting residents "send in for" a ballot to vote by mail

I pointed out that Ohio's vote by mail (absentee or early voting) practices began in a Republican administration, and the vast majority of it's history has been supervised by a Republican secretary of state.

Her response was to ask if I meant mail in or absentee, since there is a difference. I pointed out the phrasing of her initial comment - "send in for" - which makes it an absentee ballot. The "evil" Trump & company are railing about is onse you don't "send in for."

But apparently she only knows the phrases that are "evil, not the meaning behind them.
