Attendees
In addition to the public, the attendees at the ceremony generally include the vice president, members of Congress, Supreme Court justices, high-ranking military officers, former presidents, living Medal of Honor recipients, and other dignitaries. The outgoing president customarily attends the president-elect's inauguration. Only five have chosen not to do so. John Adams, still smarting over the outcome of the election of 1800, did not remain in Washington to witness the inauguration of Thomas Jefferson, his successor. In 1829, John Quincy Adams also left town, unwilling to be present to see Andrew Jackson's accession to the White House. In 1869, Andrew Johnson was angrily conducting a cabinet meeting even as his successor, Ulysses S. Grant, was being inaugurated.[12] More recently, Woodrow Wilson did not attend Warren G. Harding's 1921 inauguration (though he rode to the Capitol with him), nor did Richard Nixon attend Gerald Ford's 1974 inauguration (having left Washington, D.C., prior to his resignation taking effect).

So number 6 is likely going to be Dotard.

In tRUMP's criminal activity to set the record straight and impose a reckoning on this country, so it won't fester anymore like it did with the Nixon Administration. Everyone who defiled their oath need consequences for their actions and not just a damn mercy sacrifice of their position. A dirty tRUMP fecal stain that follows and haunts them to their grave and in the history books. Top of that list...

It would cement his legacy as a whiny little bastard. President Obama had the grace to not only show up, but to actually, genuinely care about Trump doing a good job. He gave Trump every opportunity to be a decent human being, but Trump can't do it.

Sure, it would create a minor scandal about breaking that precedent an tradition, but Trump would likely be the only president in history that did not show up for the tradition of the peaceful transfer of power, and like I said, it would be yet another stain on his already horrible legacy, and at least for me, he would not be missed. Not even a little bit.

He doesn’t believe in our traditions, including the peaceful transition of power. Whether he chooses to simply leave before January 20 or if he has to be dragged out of the White House, I don’t know, but there’s no way he’ll be a gentleman and participate as he should. If I had to bet he’ll make a major fuss over something. He couldn’t stand that the day not be all about him.

Much as we all want to see Biden take over, I am afraid the big festivities will be reduced a lot due to the pandemic. Certainly, Biden seems too aware to put people to that level of risk.

As for the orange anus, I doubt he'll be involved in much of anything at that point beyond snarkiness on Twitter. He's been disengaged in the entire process of governance and does nothing except play golf (except for campaigning, of course) for quite a while now. That is not going to change once the election happens. If we see any involvement from him at all by that point, I think it will be filing court cases contesting election results in individual states. He won't go quietly, but sooner or later the inevitability of it all will become a reality for everyone around him. At that point, somebody is going to have to explain to him that the party is over and that he can only save himself by getting out of Dodge by sundown.
