He's even moving into position to completely own Trump on the economy.

What I kept thinking as he made his argument, "How could any Trump supporter not agree with this speech?"

more at some times than at others. We need a bit more than just killing the Trump tax giveaways, we need to get back to 60's/70's levels.

Biden actually knows policy and can speak to the finer points of programs he'd like to see enacted. Mr. Know-Nothing Trump can only rant and ramble and/or make vague statements about things like healthcare, vaccines, whatever. The primary debates were good practice for Biden. He got better and better as the season went along, knocking it out of the park on the last debate, the one-on-one with Senator Sanders.

As for speeches? Biden's been consistently good right from the start. He gave an excellent and well-received foreign policy speech early in the primary with the general gist:

Foreign policy is domestic policy and domestic policy is foreign policy, how true leadership must by guided by values and principle both here and abroad, and then the immediate steps he would take to get us back on track. It was a speech Donald Trump would be incapable of giving because it was clear and direct.

And yes, the latest speech from Minnesota (which I just caught) was really strong. Biden appears to be taking the opportunity to remind the electorate that he comes from working class roots, that he knows what struggle is all about and that he's focused on providing citizens a path to good paying jobs for a prosperous future for them and their kids.

That economic element is the only one where Trump leads although Biden's been catching up. Looks to me Biden is aiming to snatch that positive from Trump and run the ball home.

Street. But do you think he should at least give a little in saying that he cares about wall street doing well but right now the working guy needs a break? Not an either or but a both, working to keep Wall Street strong but working to build jobs and wages for the working guy?

I only say that because a lot of retirees have money in the market, union guys at that.
