13. My congressional rep, Bill Pascrell, Jr. is like that.

I did a phonebank for him and used a list that were democratic voters. I hit a home where the woman started to shout and harangue about Rep. Pascrell. After the uncomfortable call, I asked my supervisor what I should do about this person. She calmly told me to circle her name and that Pascrell would call her back. Not to debate her, but to listen. He wanted to let her know he was representing her whether or not she supported him and he wanted to know what he was missing or doing wrong.

I was very impressed.
