He's always interrupting his guests to throw in what he thinks are clever quips or rap references. Enough. Over to CNN.

(16,254 posts)Stephanie in the morning does the same thing. I used to like her, but that is so annoying and she's getting worse. With them working from home, it just makes it worse with the time delay. Why do people come on their shows when they hardly get to say anything?

(16,254 posts)She covers mostly financial issues. I like some of the program, but don't like her yelling and jumping into the conversation.

(23,307 posts)Ive sworn off Ari and actually listen to....drum roll....Wolf Blitzer on my way home from work. Wolf isnt holding back any more. I kinda like him.

(3,996 posts)Maybe love is a strong word. I like Wolf's deadpan delivery and lack of hip hop references.
I gave Ari a chance. No more. At times, he talks too slowly for my tastes.

(10,048 posts)that most of us don't know nor does it seem his guests. His jokes fall flat all the time and I have said for a long time, he should just go host an entertainment show and get out of the news. I used to like him when he first started but now I find him annoying. I now watch Wolf Blitzer, if you can imagine.

(115,681 posts)(yes, I know he has a law degree; so do I) with whatabout comments and wisecracks, and they never get a chance to offer a thorough analysis because he's always butting in. I'd rather listen to the analyses of people like Chuck Rosenberg and other guests on the shows of hosts who don't interrupt.

(28,252 posts)I walked away from his show months ago. I don't need that sort of irritation---and I damn sure don't need rap performers attempting to preach politics to me. The times are way too dangerous for this sort of bullshit.

(1,123 posts)I quit him a while ago, all the rap references and he looks totally bored when someone else is talking.

(4,673 posts)he was a fill-in host. I still record him but find myself deleting it 90% of the time mostly because ... how much can I watch? And I prefer others.
That said, when there are big legal issues, I like his guests John Flannery and the one he used to work for, forgot his name.

(32,634 posts)... always interrupting and talking over his guests, and I mean ALWAYS. I used to wonder why people even wanted to be a guest on his program.
Ari doesn't do it as much, but he does show disrespect when he jumps in with stupid jokes. Well that's how they seem to me because I don't listen to hiphop music, so it's wasted on me anyway.
I do like the legal expertise that Ari brings to his shows. If only he would stick with that, and lay off the music references.

(37,457 posts)None of his rap references have meaning for me, and I truly don't care. I know my son would love it, but my son is 24. I really prefer Rachel's style to his or Nicole Wallace's show.
Tarheel_Dem
(31,233 posts)clearly very smart, and has experience on the Hill, but his style seems more suited to late night than primetime. I remember becoming very frustrated when he would disrupt the flow of a very good interview to inject his brand of humor, even when the topic was a very serious one. There's a time and place for that, but it just seems out of place when we're living under a near dictatorship.

(10,648 posts)His interrupting, making references to songs and artists his guests are not familiar with, and the awkward moments that ensue are annoying as Hell.

(15,278 posts)The rap infatuation aside, he's gotten very annoying. It's like he's always got to try to show he's the smartest guy in the room. I tune in the local news when he's on and sometimes CNN.
