With RBG gone, I fear Trump with the support of Barr will claim Trump the winner on election day.

They will question the legitimacy of the postal votes as those results come in, during the next days, and launch an investigation that will supposedly find widespread fraud. Now the Supreme Court will be stacked in Trump's favor. We then have a dictator installed and become a fully fledged annex of Russia.

The best way to counter it is to GOTV so that it looks like a landslide. At that point, the vast majority won't take them seriously.

I don't trust Roberts on a lot of things but I can't think he's going to allow the disenfranchisement of half the voters in the country. Vote, win, landslide if possible. Worry later.

...but, if Trump and McConnell force through a new Justice before Election Day (or even immediately thereafter), they'll have Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Thomas, and the new nominee. A majority of five hard-line ultraconservative ideologues, several of whom are already firm backers of the "unitary executive" doctrine giving the sitting president full authority (when it's a Republican, of course). They wouldn't even need Roberts to prevail.

If Biden is elected and accepted, we might be able to avoid a repeat of Lincoln's term. When I was growing up, I never would have thought I'd see this country so divided and so ready to split up, all over a bunch of made-up bullshit. If we're able to lay hold of the monsters who have caused all of this evil to befall us, we need to make examples of them to the world. This kind of shit should not be tolerated anywhere any longer.
