The interesting thing about the Republican response is it will give a clear idea what their internal polls are showing them. I believe if there is an all out effort the confirm a justice prior to the election will indicate they believe they will lose the election and nothing else matters other than than filling that seat.

If their internals are showing a win for Trump they may wait.
