It's going to happen

And you know it will be Barr nominated for always helping Trump out. It could also be Cruz or another senator that kisses his ass. They are going to push this seat through because this is his last ditch effort to throw the election to the Supreme Court after stacking it. I’m not sure what can be done if anything. That’s why we need the presidency, house and senate this election. It can be done. We know how they will work. The only answer is vote and hope by having the house, the senate, and the presidency something can be done.

Barr might be best since he'd be the easiest to impeach that you could imagine. n/t brewens Sep 2020 #1
It will be someone a hell of a lot younger than Barr, that much is certain. RockRaven Sep 2020 #2

The perfect lapdog for Trump. When the shi* hits the fan he knows his dog will come barking. That’s why I say Barr. I hope I’m wrong.

Barr is too old and there's too much ammunition to use in a hearing against him.

Cruz is young enough and conservative enough... but he and Trump don't get along. I suspect that Trump adding him to "the list" was just to keep him in line for the election.

The frontrunner by far is Amy Coney Barrett on the 7th Cir. Speculation for many has been that she was the frontrunner before Kavanaugh was selected, but was held in reserve in case Ginsburg passed away (so he wasn't replacing Ginsburg with a white male).
