tRump is transactional. He might not want to appoint anyone before the election

He knows that if he appoints someone now, the GOP can and will kick him under the bus come election day. With the SCOTUS heavily stacked in their direction, what more would they need trump for?

Trump wants to be re-elected because it might be the only thing keeping him out of prison. He's proven that he doesn't care what the rest of the GOP thinks.

He can't pronounce it, and SURE doesn't know what it means.

He thinks all he has to do is say he wants something, and he gets it. He then throws his little tantrums when it doesn't happen.

But he has Miller, Bannon, and of course Putin, to explain things and tell him what to do.

If the doesn't nominate someone for the seat his base won't be happy. If he does nominate someone, and that someone is confirmed, you're right, what does anyone need Trump for?

However, it would motivate his base if he held off, especially the anti choice people. But I think he'd have to have a good reason.
