If you win, you get to make the rules.Theyve already destroyed all the norms, so now I guess we have to start fresh.
End the filibuster and add two Supreme Court Justices. Sen. Markey is already talking about this.
First we have to win. Lets concentrate on doing that.

(53,026 posts)In part because the never Hillary "leftists" voted for a right-wing court. I don't think stacking the court is a solution for the failure to unite during elections, as the right has done for ages.

(1,303 posts)Mitch was the guy who denied the sitting president his constitutional prerogative.
Democrats have to learn to fight power with power. And if you think Republicans in the same position would refrain from stacking the court, you havent been paying attention.

I would point out that it is not just SCOTUS though that this needs to be done at but also all the other federal courts will need expansion in the number of judges to counter the Republicans corruption of the courts.

(10,279 posts)them. Before the criticisms come in about my comment, it should not be necessary to remind everyone that Repukes do not respect the slap of the velvet glove. Speaker Pelosi took over the House and effectively managed Repukes with rules they used to manage the House. DEMs need to operate with some of Donald's rules until we can establish norms.
Repukes must earn their return to participate. That will likely require a fair reapportionment of the state and federal congressional districts. Of course, with a DEM tilt give them the sting of what they have done to use for a decade.
