Stove. Hot. OUCH!!!

Leslie Allen Jordan recently told this story as a tribute to his addiction sponsor who had passed away. The sponsor used this phrase to remind Leslie that when you continually do the same negative thing, you get the same result.

So, let’s learn.

Never trust a Republican. Let’s say that again, please. NEVER trust a Republican. One more time, please. NEVER TRUST A REPUBLICAN!!!

So, don’t console yourself that Romney or Collins or Graham or Murkowski may stand up and go against party as to the nomination of RBG’s successor. Hopefully, they will grow a conscience and do the right thing.

But you cannot trust them to do it because they are Republicans. If they had a moral compass, they would not be a Republican.

Senator 47% sees us much like -45 does so never give him the benefit of the doubt. His performance in the Senate impeachment trial was a blip, see it as such and go forth knowing better than to ever trust him with important decisions. I have been watching him for a long time and this is factual throughout his history.

Every single one of these weasels will fall in line with Moscow Mitch. They've proven over and over and over again that they will only fall in lock step to keep their power.

Oh, and the notion that Dems will add seats on the bench can just as easily be accomplished by rethugs as Dems. When they get that super majority on the SCOTUS, as they will - and soon - they can do the exact same thing. There are NEVER political *consequences* for rethugs.

because some people seem to have a hard time wrapping their minds around this simple fact.

They are not to be trusted, if there are two options, one benign and one that is cruel, they will choose cruelty each and every time. If there is one option that builds and one that destroys, they will choose destruction every time.

Why is that so hard for people to see?

Is it doom and gloom to see clearly what is happening around us?

Remember, these are the same people who, when it looked like Clinton would win declared that she would never get SCOTUS pick.

Remember, these are the people who kept a record number of judicial vacancies throughout Obama's terms so that they could stack the courts with unqualified right wingers the second they had the power to do so. And they have.

I'm really sick and tired of all of the cheerleaders here. I deal in reality. And reality sucks right now. That doesn't mean I'm rolling over and giving up. It means I'm ready to fight to the death because of it.

You cannot described a negative situation without being negative. You cannot and should not sugarcoat the truth. We all lived through 2016 and we know that Trump is Putin's puppet and that he's going to cheat any way he can. Hell, I believe every Republican alive is capable of that to get what they want.

I don't trust polls. We made THAT mistake in 2016. Saying that I don't shouldn't be an excuse for anyone to give up and not go vote, yet I've been told that is what happens - been told that on DU. If Biden is ahead, then I'm elated, but I won't trust anything until he's sworn in on January 20th. Anyone else who doesn't understand that doesn't have the same understanding of 2016. I'd rather think that Biden is behind and make sure EVERYONE goes to vote.

A rancher who had lived through the Great Depression. Until the day he died, I watched him eat his good fast at meals, and that stemmed from the fact that when he was young, if you waited, you might not have anything to eat.

He always said that Democrats were the party of the people and Republicans were the party of the rich. He would go on to say that it always had been that way and always will be.

He died in 2010 at the age of 95. He wasn't wrong then and he's not been wrong since.

Remember that Steve Schmidt, George Conway, and all the others who are against Trump are still Republicans.

As soon as a guy (yes, guy - not woman) they like is back in power they will be back to their usual policies. They will be back to trying to take away health care, Social Security, and Medicare. They will be back to making corporations more powerful and individual workers into serfs. They will be back to depressing wages and benefits in favor of profits.

They may, temporarily, be our allies in the fight against Trump, but they are not our friends nor kindred spirits. They will be our enemies again soon enough.

Democrats have attempted to negotiate, turned against our own (crucified Bill Clinton) when Republicans don’t--we’ve practically bent over backwards and each concession on our part has been an encroachment on the part of Republicans. They never let up and won’t until they have total dominance.

They’re ruthless and what we better learn is not to be pushovers in the face of ruthlessness.
