Abraham, Martin, and John.
I wasn't politically aware in 1968 being only 4 for most of it, but I can't help having that same hopeless feeling folks must have felt after Robert was assassinated.

(14,888 posts)I was starting to be politicaly active before '68 at 14. So I was following the '68 Election at 15. Bobby was my candidate...

(6,589 posts)I'm not Jewish & I'm far from an expert on Judaism & beliefs about the afterlife, but I was scolded by a couple folks who are Jewish (as was RBG) that my "rest in peace" wish for her was not appropriate because of her religious beliefs. I deleted my post & since then I've refrained from sharing anything that has Christian imagery (like the angels & heaven in this cartoon) because I don't know if they're consistent with, or offensive to, her religious beliefs.
As I said, just an FYI.
