(15,084 posts)If he and Lindsey have the hearings and (pretend) vetting done before November 3, then - even if every Republican loses - he would definitely throw up his middle finger at us all and vote the Justice in. There is a possibility that some of HIS Senators might balk, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did it.

(9,998 posts)If Biden is going to be President, and his party is going to be in control of Congress, why in the world would Manchin stab the party in the back by voting in a Drumpf nominee, when he already held out until the Election was over?
I have criticized Manchin in the past, so perhaps that's where all the attacks against my comment are coming from. I take him at his word in this case, and if Biden wins, I have no doubt that he will wait for Biden to make the choice.
