Who do you think is the toughest leading Democrat we have right now?

Some possible names - not exhaustive, just to start thinking and get a discussion going. If you don't like someone on the list, keep it to yourself; it is irrelevant to this thread. The question in the OP is the topic.

Jimmy Carter
Bill Clinton
Barack Obama
Hillary Clinton
Nancy Pelosi
Chuck Schumer

I'll start: Nancy Pelosi.

No order other than alphabetical. Each with strengths unique to themselves.

(were Obama more partisan, more outspoken, less civil, he'd be on the list-- but then he wouldn't be Obama)

I’d put Sheila Jackson Lee and Jackie Speier high on that list, as well. Eric Swalwell, too.

AOC. She is always ready to respond in a way that resonates with youth without completely alienating the old guard. That's a tough row to hoe.

ETA: I'd add Warren to the list.

I put AOC first because she’s not even 30 years old and is recognized by nearly everyone in the country. When most of the leaders on your list are dead and gone AOC will still be relatively young. She’s our future.
