1. There was an op ed by Charles Blow in yesterday's NYT.

"Conservatives Try to Lock In Power" saying Republicans are desperate to save a way of life. Power for a group who feel their grip on power slipping away and they will do anything to stop it. I can't link it but it is worth the read.

They make the point that the percentage of people who identify as religious is falling fast, more people want civil rights and something done about climate change.

I remember Granddad saying that when rural, religious whites begin to lose control it will look like an ugly civil war. Well Granddad here we are. Sad thing is this court will impact us long after they have lost control everywhere else.
