The United States Constitution has failed, and all Republican politicians will now act like Trump

There are no more rules.

There are no precedents.

No more formalities.

No more courtesy.

It was a nice run, but the US Constitution hinges on a political party being honest.

And now we have a dishonest party with just enough power.

5. The voting electorate has proven to have a short attention span

They gave Obama about five minutes before hamstringing him with barely functional turds like Tom Cotton and Rand Paul fucking up the Senate.

It also doesn't help that states that have more cattle than voters get to decide the US Senate.

Stop with the hopeful bullshit. This election is this close to being stolen now anyway.

If you believe there’s not a better future ahead, or that we have no power to change things then I’m sad for you!

I chose to believe as Biden has said so many times, “our best days are ahead of us.” I have and will continue to work my tail off for it.

2010, 2014....2016.

That half the electorate goes into hibernation while the other half lights up the crosses. Gotta make your time count.

Opinion? The ACA is almost gutted. I mean seriously, that's not an opinion.

Donald Trump has spread a pandemic, plunged us into debt, shit all over the Constitution.......and he could still "win" this race.

If that isn't the definition of dysfunctional, I don't know what to tell you.

8. No, the constitution is in need of some major repairs

It is made with the ability to be amended, but the process to do so is seemingly impossible with the country deeply divided. The constitution is not some divine document that the people "have failed." It is an imperfect charter that has been exposed as deeply flawed by the actions of a rogue president and rogue political party. The republicans will not change. The constitution, if it survives, must be improved.

- The electoral college needs to be trashed.
- Two senators for areas of real estate needs to be trashed.
- The federal system needs a hard looking at.

These are dreams at this point. I hope a Democratic administration / congress can pass some statutes to strengthen checks and balances, especially on the president, but we will have a corrupt republican supreme court to invalidate those statutes. I agree the constitution has failed.

And these people are no gentlemen. No honor, no decency. But I’ll tell you one thing, if we manage to get back into power somehow, we better do the same fucking thing. I’m sick of playing by the rules when they never have to.

13. It takes people of good faith to make it work, the Constitution is just a piece of paper

At some point (I would submit during the Gingrich years) the GOP just stopped telling the truth and caring about nurturing and respecting the great American Experiment.
