There will be payback in November. They will eat their words that there is an urgency to fill a SC

seat, but not to help suffering Americans with the stimulus act who are struggling since Trump’s mishandling of the pandemic

Payback is going to bite the republicans in their worthless asses

Stop calling it “Packing” the court, and maybe “balancing” the court? Or “strengthening” the court?

(I like calling it strengthening—who would be against “strengthening” the court? I bet you could even get dumbfuck republicans to agree with enlarging the court if you called it “strengthening!”)

Strengthening better.

Primarily because balancing immediately sounds like it’s taking something away from republicans (the GOP are the same idiots that don’t understand that saying “Black Lives Matter” doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter), and more importantly because it sounds petulant and whiny. It’s very mealy-mouthed and sounds like why Democrats lose in things like this—no force.

“Balancing” sounds good at first, but I don’t think it will win any battles.

And the words used don’t actually have to reflect what’s happening. It may BE “balancing” or even “packing” but if the most UNpatriotic act in recent memory can be called the Patriot Act, and if the laws most destructive of workers rights can be called “Right to Work” laws, then there’s no reason not to call a court-packing law the “Court Strengthening Act”
