KS-SEN: Abortion issue becoming focal point of Kansas Senate race

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
The issue of abortion is becoming a focal point of the Kansas Senate race.

Barbara Bollier said she wants voters to think of her as a moderate Democrat. Her opponent, Roger Marshall, said her abortion votes are not moderate.

In Bollier's career in the Kansas Legislature, she has been an advocate for women's reproductive rights and suspicious of government restrictions.

The Dem is completely screwed if that is the main issue. It cancels out every bad thing Trump and Republicans have ever done in the minds of most Kansans. It's one of two states that are even more bonkers than Nebraska on this issue.

it is pretty good. From Wikipedia...

In April 2019, the Kansas Supreme Court affirmed the lower court's decision, and ruled that the right to abortion is inherent within the state's constitution and bill of rights, such that even if Roe v. Wade is overturned and the federal protection of abortion rights is withdrawn, the right would still be allowed within Kansas, barring a change in the state constitution.[29]
