I saw this post & it shows what we lost and must recover

“There is no literature or poetry in this White House.
No music.
No Kennedy Center award celebrations.
There are no pets in this White House.
No loyal man’s best friend. No Socks the family cat.
No kids’ science fairs.
No times when this president takes off his blue suit-red tie uniform and becomes human, except when he puts on his white shirt-khaki pants uniform and hides from Americans to
play golf.
There are no images of the first family enjoying themselves together in a moment of relaxation.
No Obamas on the beach in Hawaii moments, or Bushes fishing in Kennebunkport, no Reagans on horseback, no Kennedys playing touch football on the Cape.
I was thinking the other day of the summer when George H couldn’t catch a fish and all the grandkids made signs and
counted the fish-less days.
And somehow, even if you didn’t even like GHB, you got caught up in the joy of a family that loved each other and had fun.
Where did that country go?
Where did all of the fun and joy and expressions of love and happiness go?
We used to be a country that did the ice bucket challenge and raised millions for charity.
We used to have a president that calmed and soothed the nation instead of dividing it.
And a First Lady that planted a garden instead of ripping one out.
We are rudderless and joyless.
We have lost the cultural aspects of society that make America great.
We have lost our mojo, our fun, our happiness.
The cheering on of others. Gone.
The shared experiences of humanity that make it all worth it. Gone.
The challenges AND the triumphs that we shared and celebrated.
The unique can-do spirit Americans have always been known for. Gone.
We have lost so much in so short a time."

He’s doomed. Trump is a third-rate producer. An aging star past his expiration date, he can’t recreate 2016.

If he wants to compete based on his TV credentials, real industry professionals will eat his lunch.

He can pull that act on the rubes for only so long. Then, the lines becomes stale and the performance weak.

and a human being. It was when he threw a major tantrum in Trump Tower when he saw the photos of his sons and their trophies. He berated Junior for thinking that he could buy a $10,000 gun to shoot wild animals and that would make him a big man.

‘What the fuck is wrong with you?’ Trump screamed at his namesake. ‘You think you’re a big man sitting on the rocks and then boom! You kill some fucking animal? Then you drag your brother into this bullshit? Why the fuck would you post photos like that? Get the fuck out of my office.’ Disloyal, Michael Cohen

Maybe the sons thought Daddy would be impressed, but he was really pissed. It would seem that Trump never had a very high regard for either Don or Eric, thought they were dumb losers. Yeah, so it is no wonder they pulled stupid crap like the safaris. I have no doubt that they are both seriously damaged. How could millions of people vote for such a man? How could thousands still line up for days to go to his rallies and risk their lives?

On Steven Colbert's The Late Show, a few nights ago, there was a comedy set up involving some genuine hard-core Trump supporters. All were masked, for Covid-19 and probably to also protect their identity. One of them was asked why he supported Donald Trump. The man replied, "I like money, and he knows how to make it."

I will give the guy credit for honesty, even if he doesn't seem to be aware of how difficult it is to bankrupt a casino and have five more bankruptcies.

Maybe the problem is lack of education, maybe the problem is overwork and lack of caring, maybe it is something else. Maybe the problem is just plain fear - fear that someone else will take what we have worked so hard to get. But such fear is misdirected toward people of color, especially immigrants.

If such fear is the issue, then we need to direct that fear toward the people who would truly take away our country and our rights through their unbridled greed and hunger for power: the McConnells, the Trumps, the spineless Republican Senators, and yes - the Putins. How to make people see this is another issue, indeed.

We, the People, need to become motivated to become better again. We need a new Greatest Generation.

On the fear issue--these followers will reject our words and ideas like a bad organ. It's only the worms coming out of Trump's mouth that give the baby robins all they need to survive. Even if the worms get washed down with Clorox.

Deprogramming must come before education. We must erase Trump's magnetic tape and start over. Maybe when the maskless suicide squad is gone, their kids will listen and learn.

In this country where is the push for Arts and Science to be the center of humanity.
-Reality based TV dominates or factionalized offerings numb and divide us.
-College education is not Liberal Arts its ends are technological focused.
-The natural world around us which nurtures the mind and soul is degraded and lessened.
-Daily experience is GMO foods, mega-chain offerings and commercialized garbage
-Beauty is lost and death cults, ignorance, hate rises.
-Every aspect of our behavior is logged, analyzed and used to sell us like lab rats.

I have a mental health Phd. friend doing research on the increase of tattoos. Her work seems to indicate daily stresses, need to have some individuality (notice how most tats are for others to see opposed to "healing tats" where the owner can constantly see it?), and loss of some coherent normalcy, among much more as degrading forces to the mental health of many. He's so damn dead inside.

And I am of firm belief that we do not hire a president's spouse to do a damn thing, and they shouldn't be expected to do anything - and yet, Melania has been basically totally non-present in this presidency. Trotted out once in a while for a photo opp or to say something stupid, but otherwise, she's done not a damn thing. Other than really ugly decorations, that is.

The only humanity we see in this White House is the dark side of humanity: anger, hate, hubris, narcissism, rage, violence, fear...

For God's sake, the man was impeached and all it did was encourage him to do even more shit! Another term will destroy America as we have known it for more than two centuries. Sure, it had its faults and challenges, but there was always a sense of moving forward as a group. Now it's controlled by one mentally ill man, who controls the largest nuclear arsenal in the history of the world.

There has to be an unassailable victory for the anti-Trump side. He cannot be granted a single more day in power.
