Getting Mitch McConnell out is just as important as getting dumpy out.
I want that vile, shit faced pig out and liable for criminal prosecution as much as the other shit faced pig.

(12,744 posts)We need to win 4 seats (5 if we lose Alabama, which we probably will, and Trump remains). Arizona, Maine, Colorado, North Carolina are all looking pretty good. South Carolina is a tie, Iowa is also within margin I think. But unless the polls shift dramatically over the Supreme Court posturing, Turtle is safe. Bloomberg would be wasting his money in Kentucky.

(1,585 posts)But no Senators up for election. Also very expensive. Im not saying pull the Florida buy - which just started. Just that you get way more bang for the buck taking a shot in states we normally ignore but have Senate races that are competitive- more than KY by a mile.

I have no idea why so many people think statewide general elections in a federal race are like primaries, that they can have wild 10 or 40 point swings in the late going. It doesn't work that way. The ideological numbers are like immovable walls. Kentucky was never in play, given the ideology and the makeup of the electorate with so many rural working class whites.

(9,638 posts)So, how do we get rid of McConnel?
Mariana
(15,613 posts)Maybe we can make the Republicans the minority party in the Senate.

(753 posts)McGrath is loaded with cash. Her campaign is anemic and her ads are terrible. She is bringing a knife to a gun fight against Mitch.

(93,366 posts)small amount against a shitty Republican.
Codeine
(25,586 posts)in a media market like that. And even if you could it would be wasted people in KY vote for him because thats who they want to win.
Its not like there is a huge liberal undercurrent in these hillbilly states just waiting to be activated by the right television commercial.
JI7
(93,366 posts)with a large white population. The minority population is small compared to most other southern states .

(1,251 posts)Lets win the senate and retire mitch as senate leader. We won't win his seat.
redstateblues
(10,565 posts)Almost as much as seeing him lose altogether. I think the former is the most probable.
we can do it
(13,014 posts)Money better spent flipping the senate.
CincyDem
(7,341 posts)McConnell owns Kentucky. Much better to put that 100 million to use in other, more competitive races that will make Mitch the Minority Leader.
