Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsTrump will totally crack up as his insanity eats him alive. We are seeing the on-ramp to his self
destruction as the election gets closer and his fear grows out of control.
The GOP is desperate to hold him together just long enough to get the supreme courts nominee in place and the election behind them. They know they are toast, that the presidency may be lost to them for generations...just like the post civil war era.
They are trapped in a nightmare of their own machinations. They have fallen so far down trumps rabbit hole that they dont believe in sunlight or fresh air anymore. They have turned the White House into an outhouse and their own party into the biggest turd ever....on purpose. They did this intentionally.
This bullshit that he is going to refuse to allow a peaceful transfer of power is just that ...bullshit. When he loses, he is done. I understand he is terrified of his life in post presidency. But he made his bed, now he is going to lie in it, like it or not.
Personally, I would love to see him dragged out by one ankle, kicking and screaming like the little baby asshole he is. But he weighs 300 plus pounds and is mostly blubber so it gunna take muscle to push, pull and drag him out if he resists. Im sure New York would love to send some AGs office agents to cart him away after he is tossed ass first out the gate. This may be the perp walk to end all perp walks.

I didn't think I could be any more sickened by this horridness, but I am.

(2,404 posts)Im on Chapter 11. It is truly horrifying. I hope that this country is ready for whatever may happen. Rage is a must read. It will go down as the definitive account of the Trump era.

(1,665 posts)if he stroked out before Saturday, Id certainly become one. If he just became infirm enough to be unable to quite do business, but not so far gone they 25 him, Id set up an altar in my room.

(22,493 posts)Course, will support him. He's spoken to Pennsylvania, and probably every swing state controlled by the GOP, about having "loyal electors" who will vote for Trump in the electoral college no matter what the vote says...shut down the counting and the governor will declare the election over and throw the elec. coll. Trump's way. Trump just said that we don't need ballots...that would avoid an unpeaceful transition by just allowing Trump to continue as he is.
Democracy isn't for everyone.

He gets his rocks off terrifying people. Don't give him the pleasure.

(1,587 posts)he has chosen to play for being so personal he is going to freeze at some point when the reality of losing becomes undeniable. That is when he will make even more fatal mistakes that expose his madness. Can only hope those mistakes will only be fatal to himself, and not to innocent people.

(2,781 posts)He does not deserve grace or mercy.
He deserves to have the screws put to him and have his ass kicked by justice.
If he fights to hold onto power, fight that much harder to tear him away from it.
Hes not omnipotent. Hes a fucking blowhard coward of a 74 year old man.
His greatest mistake was the day he decided he was entitled to sit in the nations highest executive office. Make him rue that day, every day, for the remainder of his miserable life as he rots away inside a prison cell.

(2,008 posts)I think if there's any chance at all that he can delude himself into thinking he may be able to hold a victory rally, he'll stick around. Failing that, how long he stays in office to scorch the earth is anybody's guess.
I'm having a hard time picturing him attending Biden's inauguration, though. Well, okay, that's poor phrasing. Let's say "it's easy to imagine he'd bug out before Biden's inauguration". Because I *can* picture what it'd look like if he attended. Something like this:

(15,563 posts)when he loses, he will make a 'visit' to some country he can't be extradited from, resign the office and attempt to run his 'businesses' from there.
He's too vain and ego driven to live with being voted out of office. He loses face and that is everything to him.

(4,261 posts)Trump is bugnutz crazy... whether dementia, drug abuse or what have you. Adolf Hitler in the bunker crazy, if I may be bold.
Unfortunately he has enablers and the suchlike that wield enough power and influence to make the bunker analogy a frightening possibility. He wont hold power long, but long enough to cause a lot of damage.
