There is a lot of outright hate between political and other groups right now, and we don't need anything to set off any violence, especially something as significant as a Supreme Court nomination.
If the GOP are determined to confirm a nominee in the coming weeks, the least they could do, considering current events, would be to pick someone who has had some broad, bipartisan support. I know it's practically out of the question that we'll get a moderate, but at least don't exacerbate the tensions we have now and choose a RW loon.
There's a candidate who was confirmed to her seat with 80 votes recently. It makes much more sense to elevate her, considering the circumstances, but we have a President with followers who are determined to bring us to civil war.

(5,499 posts)The second she is nominated there should be an effort to get her extreme views out in front. I would focus on everything...not just her thoughts on Roe.
She likes to talk so I'm sure there is a lot out there.
