It's so adorable how Gov Noem kills a bird to impress people. Warning, graphic (Original Post) Maraya1969 Sep 2020 OP
Is she gonna eat it? If not why shoot it? TreasonousBastard Sep 2020 #1
Whatever it was it looked small. Like something that you wouldn't eat unless you really had to Maraya1969 Sep 2020 #3
Not small. It was a pheasant. MineralMan Sep 2020 #5

from a cage for her to shoot at. Pheasant hunting, even in South Dakota is an iffy thing. You can't count on even seeing a pheasant, much less plan to do a video of someone shooting one. Unless you release one to be shot.

As usual, this is a bullshit photo op.

You don't hunt pheasants by standing in a corn field with cameras on you. Unless, of course, someone is crouching down and getting ready to release a caged bird.

That was staged for that commercial. And she almost didn't hit the bird anyhow.

Feh! I do not like Kristi Noem one little bit! Nope.

Pheasant hunting is a big sport in South Dakota, and a source of tourism dollars due to hunters from other states.

They fill a similar niche to prairie chickens, but prairie chickens don't do well around farms. Not much untouched prairie left, even in South Dakota

One does not shoot a bird for a commercial. And one certainly does not use a gun for social distancing. Fail.

It is an indictment of our society that such an unqualified person is elected to any position of responsibility.
