Russian courts/judiciary? 
I remember the very first day of my constitutional law class in law school. The professor handed out a sheet of paper that cited a provision from a country's constitution that was basically utopia, extolling the virtues of people, the system of law, and human/civil rights. The professor then asked which country it was from....it was from Russia's constitution. She then pointed out the judicial system in Russia is such a farce that none of this verbiage matters if there is not a legitimate judiciary to enforce it. She then contrasted Russia's judiciary with that of the US, and made the point that this is importance of constitutional law and an independent judiciary. I never forgot that simple, but highly effective, example.
Today, we are perilously close to Russia. Take a look at how many of Trump's appointees at all levels of the federal judiciary are members of The Federalist Society. Take a look at how the US Department of Justice has been totally debased: as Joe said, it has become Trump's personal law firm.
The rule of law is a thin thread. It is a compact between and among all of us who live here. Trump and his henchpersons are coming very close to destroying the rule of law in this country, and we are at the final stages. If we lose this election at all levels, we are Russia, and this is no longer a nation of laws.
