Trump's a buffoon and will be exposed in a debate. Even if he gish gallops the lies there's no chance he can come off as more informed, more compassionate, or more prepared. If Joe shied from the debate however it would give Trump his only positive opportunity to paint him as scared or hiding and we'd see clips on every channel of his 10 minute soliloquys on the topic at his dumbfuck nazi rallys not to mention his idiotic twitter gloating.

Joe Biden is not "jelly backed" like the Republican candidates in 2016. He even told the people he'll challenge Trump to a "physical fight" (lol). I'm really looking forward to the VP debate between Harris and Pence! I already bought my popcorn for that one!

or brings out Q-Anonsense. I am hoping they are preparing for all of that in debate prep.

They've seen it before. They saw how he treated the other Republicans in the primary. They saw how he stalked and insulted Hillary. They saw how Trump paraded the women that accused Bill Clinton out before a debate in a press conference. The Trump show isn't an unknown anymore and I think they will be more prepared. They know he is a liar and horrible person. I think they'll be ready.

He just has to pivot. In your scenario, imagine Biden's response is just to sigh and reply with something like "You see, there's the problem. You think you can just bulldoze over the American people with your insults and lies. There is no substance to your name calling or fear mongering. You're an empty soul with no ideology, no patriotism, no sense of duty.I pray for you and for whatever is wrong with your soul."

Reagan repeated the phrase "there he goes again" to great affect when debating Jimmy Carter. Biden needs a similar retort, short and to the point, as a preface to his response.

both historical and recent and are preparing adequately. Trump is a wild card, for sure. He truly has no morals or respect for truth. But, they know. Since Trump doesn't seem to be preparing for debates, I hope it is easier for them to anticipate his approach and attacks.

out of the water and Trump will cancel the rest. Biden just needs to not take each lie separately but just say he lied 5 times in what he just said, and refer the viewers to a fact check site, and then turn around and say this is the way I see it and this is what I would do differently.

Debating an insane person who is running on his own fear of being thrown in jail is a risk. But backing out now isn’t an option.

The expectations are so low for Trump that I will vomit if we see a repeat of CNN and MSNBC praising Trump’s performance because he didn’t shout out the N word or something else stupid like they with W Bush. But then again he could actually do that and spend the rest of the debate denying it and accusing Joe of being the one who said it. Then Kellyanne Conway would say it was actually trumps neckgina that said it and it’s the real reason he went to Walter Reed.

Joe has this. The MF is going into the debate behind the 8 ball. He has no discipline. No integrity. No policy victories and no understanding of how anything works. He’s a mess and America will get to witness Joe take him apart piece by piece.

some physical problem and start to believe Trump’s lies. His best bet is to call Trump out on COVID, the military stuff, crashing the economy, and acting like a dictator.

Depending on the spin room and polls after, Trump might tap out of the second debate. People will race to the polls to vote early

uniquely qualified to deal with Trump in this debate.

Clinton tried going in and just telling the truth and while she "won" the debates, she never really hurt Trump in any of them and the "winner" was left up to interpretation.

I think Biden is going to bring a much different approach. I think he's going to spend the entire time attacking Trump on everything, and I think he will be willing to call Trump out on every lie he tells.

Trump is going to underestimate Biden. He think he's absent minded and slowed. I'm not even sure Trump has bothered to prepare for this debate. I think he's going to walk into a buzzsaw and is going to look worse than Obama did in his first debate in 2012.

Trump would claim that Biden is afraid and too senile to debate him. It would play right into Trump’s game and make Biden look bad.
