they must vote for Biden...My daughter's best friend has take down her Facebook anti-Biden posts...I talked until I turned blue but it seems as if she and others will now vote enthusiastically for Biden...could make a difference...could have a landslide with a united party...that would be wonderful Text or leave a message for AOC thanking her for her hard work.

Pretty impressive :

Here's their Bernie Sanders page:

It's all about voting trump out. I do think it's different this time.
Demsrule86
(71,531 posts)daughter and there was much bitterness and sadness after the primary...understandable...so some were planning to vote for f'ing Stein and AOC is doing a remarkable job combatting that according to my daughter who was already voting for Biden.

(64,186 posts)but it is their neck in the noose even more than us moderates. You can bet that the Trump trolls will be after them first.
We need their support, enthusastic or not, and they need us to further their agenda as well.
Demsrule86
(71,531 posts)wall...now she has taken down all her negative stuff on facebook and other sites...AOC is getting it done...good for her!
Wounded Bear
(64,186 posts)and they'll get more progressive work done from inside the castle than out.
Getting Repubs and/or Trump elected won't further their agenda at all. At least Dems will talk to them about what they want done, and in many cases will work with them in compormise fashion. Trump and the Repubs will just shut them down.

(24,575 posts)I am bursting at the seams with the desire to vote for Biden and will assuredly drop my ballot off at a voting center within 24 hours of receiving it in the mail.
Demsrule86
(71,531 posts)third...same day early voting starts...so with the mailing situation I am a bit worried. I think I have to bring it to the early voting place if that doesn't work, I will drop it off in the main drop box. I think most Sanders supporters are voting Biden and were all along..but some were not on board so AOC is doing a great job according to my daughter. It isn't only Sanders...some were progressives supporting other candidates...don't know which ones...If I had to guess maybe Warren.

(93,493 posts)and have no respect for them. Same goes for anyone else that needs convincing to vote democratic this year.
Wounded Bear
(64,186 posts)no time to argue semantics now about who is "far left" enough now. First we have to halt the rightward surge of the fascists.
JI7
(93,493 posts)I do not consider anyone who needs convincing to be progressive.
Just as I never considered those who vote Republican to be about morals and values no matter how much they claim to be.

(93,493 posts)and I could see that the Green Party and Nader and those propping it up were frauds then. And those who supported it didn't change.
Of course if people show they have changed over time that will be different.

(3,868 posts)It doesn't help their cause for Biden to win big and they not be a part of the coalition supporting him. I'm glad Biden has such broad support among demographics Dems usually struggle with like post 65 Seniors. It saves him from being held hostage to any wing of the party still wanting him to "earn their vote". Sorry to sound dismissive of these folks who think not voting or voting for the Green party is anything but ridiculous given what we are facing with Trump and the GOP but I do.

(6,269 posts)knows exactly what the thugs in the GOP are doing. We will see if AOC can bring them to the table. This is exactly what she and others, who follow BS, should be doing if they have any influence at all.

(11,869 posts)There was as much anti-Bernie which thankfully quieted down. Bernie was never my guy (Warren, Kamala), and even though he was not a "D" he was Progressive and I was ready to back him. I got posted removed because the craziness.

(1,309 posts)Bernie supporter anti-Biden stuff. Biden was not my first choice, but he is clearly absolutely definitely the only choice at this point. If anyone tells me that they can't see supporting Biden because they preferred Bernie, I would first wonder if they are really US citizens. We know that we have no choice. Biden must be elected. He is a truly decent man and if he isn't as progressive as we would like, he may be persuaded. I'll take that. For now.
