Jefferson County (KY) polling locations could increase from 8 to 20 for November election

OUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County could have 20 polling locations for November's election, up from eight previously announced.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams tweeted Friday night that the county had revised its original plan.

"Pleased that Jefferson County has just sent us a plan expanding election day locations from 8 to 20," he wrote. "We appreciate their working with us to improve their prior proposal and we will review their new plan closely and promptly."

Miranda Combs, a spokeswoman for Adams' office, said the office received the revised plan at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and it will be reviewed early next week. If approved, she said it would then go to Gov. Andy Beshear's office for final approval.
