So a confirmation vote on friday before election?

If they really are going to go through with this i am picturing the Democrats trying to stall a vote until the friday or even monday before the election.

Can you imagine confirming her the day before people are going to vote? how much that is going to piss people off?

but i guess its would be harder to get away with on wednesday after trump just got spanked by the american people and calls to stop the hearings and let biden nominate next year.

And those votes will be the first ones reported in most states. It will be a quick election night if Biden wins

In a matter of weeks vulnerable Republicans (in the House too) will be begging Mitch to delay.

Otherwise it is a completely realigning election.

Lagoa is boilerplate ladder climbing conservative without this level of controversy. Cuban. FL. But no. They went for broke.

Keep the endless stream of talking heads pivoted at the confirmation hearing and not on the Covid response or other nefarious things the GOP is sneaking through then it may be to their benefit.

Remember that the cable infotainment isn’t all that capable of doing more than filling airtime with manufactured drama between ads for drugs we never knew we needed.

there is absolutely no reason for conservatives who hate trump to vote for him. (The ones who use the Supreme Court as their reasoning.)

It's like giving a rich man money but he's already rich and yet he will still want more. If they can have another four years, they will not only stack the courts but ensure that we will not have any liberal views support. Clarence Thomas once made noise on stepping down will it be in the next four years? There are more legislation than Roe vs Wade to overturn or support and this nomination is just a small but significant piece.

Why just have 6-3 court when it can be 8-1.

Repubs care little for democracy and have long desired control of society via the courts.

We need to fight Barrett hard, as it could blow up in their faces. Even if she's confirmed anyway it could hurt Repubs in this election and future ones, especially amongst demographics that are trending Dem.

pro-life, to swag undecides. This is already backfiring. The only conclusion in the end, take it to US SC, although conservatives are already in the majority, 5-3, this choice would secure shithole's outcome. In other words a steal.

But alas, I think the Democrats have enough proof, if it gets to that point which is a strong possibly is may not.

As mentioned, vote like your life depends on it, and it does. Vote.
