Tomorrow is 9/28.
The ballot has to travel 4 miles via the mail.
Going to have to do some digging tomorrow.

(131,231 posts)It had about the same distance to go, but they had to mail out an awful lot of them. I'm guessing they batched them for delivery by zip code because my neighbors got them the same day I did.

(31,261 posts)That is why people should get the ballot filled out and back into the mail, we are talking one week, if a person waits until the week before Nov3, their ballots can arrive late.
I just dont understand why anyone would let a mail in ballot sit around in this election.

(11,450 posts)Mine - in California - typically takes 4-6 days to reach me. I've had one go missing once: I contacted the county registrar after 2 weeks and was able to get a replacement.
Check your local election laws about replacements or provisional voting: rules and requirements vary a lot.

A phone call to the County Board of Elections told me exactly how to track the ballot. She also advised how to get a new ballot if for some reason they do not receive it through the mail. She also told me that their mail has been running pretty good...only slightly late.
