It is beyond absurd to think that President Donald Trump will be sent to prison or jail

As a Commander in Chief found guilty of violating his oath and other crimes he would be sent to an Army Stockade or a Navy Brig.

Like this one at Miramar Naval Base that has housed many notorious criminals

A wing could be emptied so that a palatial 5 room apartment could be set up that would accommodate the special needs of this prisoner.

It would include a small kitchen to micro wave fast food, a living room to receive visitors, a bedroom with a single bed as conjugal visits are unlikely (only spouses are eligible), a large bathroom with a special vanity table that will facilitate self administer hair sculpturing.

No TV, internet or tweeting will be allowed so an additional room will house a large collection of books that the prisoner can stare at and wonder what might be inside.

It should also be pointed out that President Trump will not be prosecuted. We don't seek out and prosecute individuals, even Presidents.

A Special Prosecutor will be appointed and he will investigate crimes. He or she will seek an objective documentation of the evidence and present it to a grand jury. We will then prosecute individuals without favor of the crimes that they have been accused of.

it's a constitutional one, intended to emphasize that the military is ultimately under civilian control. if Fat Nixon winds up in the pokey it will be a civilian facility and not a military one. Furthermore, whatever laws he's broken are federal and state statutes, not covered by the UCMJ.

that a specially designed civilian facility housed at a military base would be a likely alternative to a regular prison facility.

That does not in any way whatsoever prevent states from prosecuting for state crimes, especially for those committed prior to taking office. Nor do those crimes, should they result in conviction require imprisonment in a Federal or military facility.

Nor does it offer full safety from Federal crimes being prosecuted after office, as long as the statute of limitations has not expired. Just because it hasn't happened previously, doesn't mean it can't or won't. And no, he'd be tried as the civilian he is.

NY is not the only state that may prosecute him in the future. Several have jurisdiction for financial crimes.

Hopefully he has to go to jail for a while before he dies a long painful death.
