Or have the rules already been negotiated and set in stone? I'm wondering if the moderator can have the ability to cut off a mic.

(27,703 posts)We cannot back out now. Doing so will make Biden look weak. "You can't handle a presidential debate...how can you expect to handle ISIS or China?" If Biden pulls out of the debates after this, Trump wins re-election. He has to grit his teeth and tough the next two out. After all, I doubt any further debates could be worse than this one.

(25,406 posts)will not have someone from Faux Snooze as moderator. If I can call Chris Wallace that, and I hesitate to do so.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
