Michael Steele tweet about debate:

Text

America, this president has shown his ass tonight. He does not deserve to sit in that chair behind the Resolute Desk; nor does he deserve the respect afforded his predecessors--he has not earned it. His performance tonight disgraced the American people. #Debates2020

I have to ask: when did Steele become a Governor?

He's a decent Republican from Maryland who was formerly a Lieutenant Governor. He later ran for the Senate against Ben Cardin, who won.

But I share your sentiments even if I don't give him the "Governor" credit.

Basically the republican party treated him like dirt. It really looked like he was chosen because of his race, not his abilities, though he was a very competent chair. I think he was always too principled and decent for the republican party. Of course, I like him much better as an ex-republican.

He was quite masterful in the role of bully. Chris Wallace was in over his head and lost control early.

But the American people I know would be disgusted by Trump's shenanigans and obnoxiousness. It was pitiful in the extreme.

Below is what the NBC fact checkers said. Biden got one half true and Trump didn't get as much as a half true.

The attack lines were probably all prepared by Trump and some sick fvcks like Stephen Miller. I guess they wanted to bait and shake Joe as much as possible, but they apparently have little sense of the downside of how it plays to non Magat people.

After November, 3rd, then January 21st, with all the right people working together, can you imagine how FUCKING FABULOUS this country is going to be?

We can all have a toast of champagne, and get down to seriously DOING what this country is MEANT to do. The turd (and spawn), the Proud Boys, the Qnazis, the entire republican party (and the fundigelicals they rode in on) can be thrown into either cells (one with a metallic gold spray painted toilet), OR the dust bin of historical failures.

Now we just have to make sure the ballots are all counted, and counted accurately.

After last night's debate debacle, for the first time I am actually feeling hopeful. There is nothing like a bona fide SHIT SHOW to focus one's perspective. Let's hope AMERICA saw the same SHIT SHOW that we did.

early days of the election. Anyone could see, if they bothered to look, that trump was never going to step up and lead for the good of the country. We're here because people like Michael Steele put politics above the country and fought like hell for their team, no matter what the consequences. Well, here we are. I'm beginning to think Trump might not make it to January 20th. He might not even make it to November. If the reality of what he's in for ever truly sinks in, I think he might have a full bore psychotic break. His whole personality is stitched together with bailing wire and Adderall. He may even attempt to cancel the election entirely.

The 25th amendment is still out there waiting. Should have been done long ago.
