Kristen Welker best be prepared as moderator of the third debate

Trump's misogyny means his approach toward the third debate will make this one look respectful. He will steamroll her in an even more aggressive manner than he did Chris Wallace tonight.

Trump tries that type of behavior in a Miami town hall and he'll have at least one or two questioners calling him out on it, like the black woman in the George Stephanopolous event.

Besides, typically there is an overreaction in the other direction. Gore sighed in debate one then was overly passive in debate two. Trump doesn't have that type of decency or respect but given the town hall format and after hearing for 16 days about his behavior in this debate, it will be closer to how Trump behaved in that Stephanopolous event.

I'm very relieved and pleased Biden got through the pivotal first debate and most difficult format. Keep in mind that nothing remains the same for long in a Trump presidency. By October 15 there will be multiple developments that remove spotlight from this debate. I think the GOP will be increasingly desperate and therefore Trump and Barr and surrogates will sling crap from all directions.

I hope you're right about the Oct. 15 town hall-style in Miami. C-SPAN's Steve Scully is moderating that one.

I believe Welker's event is set-up like tonight's was.

to call an end to the event whenever the candidates' behavior sinks to a certain level. Otherwise, it's a mockery of the voters' time and the resources being used.

"Either you abide by the rules or this ends, Mr. Trump."

and fear of being "called out" by Trump's ugly mobs so much that I don't hold out much (any) hope on that score.

In her defense, I don't think anything less than a tranquilizer gun or a shock collar could control him.
