Biden's most admirable moment was when he defended Hunter

Joe countered Trumps ridiculous insults to talk directly into the camera and say that like millions of Americans his son Hunter had a severe drug problem that he has tackled and overcome and that he is very proud of him.

A man of character stands by those that could otherwise be a thorn and an embarrassment to his professional aspirations. Joe has never thrown anyone under the bus.

I can’t see Trump taking that risk.

1. Joe received instant sympathy for that one.

I looked at my hubby and commented, "That's a losing strategy to attack a man's family, isn't it?"

5. Can you imagine the guilt that Hunter has had to carry

...through this campaign worried that he would be the reason that America would be doomed to 4 more years if Trump? Hunter likely would have wanted His father to use him as a human sacrifice. But I can only imagine the Joy and Love that Hunter felt for Joe after the debate.

2. I'd have lost it at that moment and asked tRump about his bone spurs and avoiding service.

But I think Joe handled it better than I would have.

tRump is such a fucking hateful dickhead, I had to turn last night's debacle off before I threw something at the television.

And then remind the public that not only did Fred Trump and the entire Trump family cut Fred Jr. off they left his sick son and family with no insurance after Fred Sr. died.

Then I would discuss how hard it would be - again - to get insurance if the Republicans and Donald Trump get their way in dismantling the ACA.

We all needed to see that

Great contrast to the child abuse in the Trump household. I’m reading Michael cohen’s book now. It actually makes me cringe for Don, Jr. He’s an asshole but I can only imagine he was once a child, and had to endure every day what the rest of us endured last night.

....by Joe’s defense of Hunter, admitting his faults yet still saying that he loved him and was proud of him... and doing it in full view of 100 million viewers.
No doubt the Don JR would have been called a total loser by his own father or denying all of the negative stories as fake news.

I love Beau and I love Hunter unconditionally. Trump is incapable of real love, only a transactional "what use are you to me."

Those who have not can consider themselves very fortunate. Those who have know where Joe Biden is coming from and can totally respect his remarks and the love he has for his son.

And 150,000 deaths in the last 5 years, I am sure Joe pickup up quite a number of votes with that statement last night.

and at the same time, it also pointed out where the Trump campaign is.

We all trump has no intention of running on his record. He'll continue the narrative that it's all the Left's fault and Biden is a do nothing during his time in government. That's his base tactic.

His campaign is solely reliant on Russian disinformation. We saw this throughout and in particularly with the Hunter Biden's Barisma exchange. That was pure and simple Russian propaganda that is being spread as fact only by those Republicans we know have a history with Russian disinformation (and yes I'm referring to Sen. Johnson).

Bill Barr's DOJ is coordinating with the campaign. One thing that solidified it for me last night was the comment when Trump claimed that Biden set Flynn up. That came directly from yesterday's Flynn hearing when the DOJ made no objections to Flynn's lawyer submitting as evidence a verifiably altered document to try and tie Biden to the Flynn case.
